Ju Jitsu
Traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu transcends the application of chokes, joint locks, immobilizations, throws, and strikes. Our staff has been trained in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and American Jujitsu. American Jujitsu was developed by Steve Crawford to help facilitate the MMA athlete. Combining Brazilian techniques, wrestling, Sambo, and strikes the training, American Jujitsu prepares our students not only for jiu-jitsu competitions but for MMA as well. Both forms have very practical useful applications and principles. Our phylosophy is to train students to develop a strong foundation for controlling your opponent on the ground. Unlike wrestling, jui-jitsu is a relaxed exercise focused on breathing, conserving energy and setting up your oponnent to make a mistake and take advantage of those mistakes. We currently offer no-gi(uniform) jiu-jitsu but will be adding gi(uniform) trainiing in the very near future. Belt promotions in jiu-jitsu may be obtain upon request.
